SUBJECT: Otak Secondary Wetlands Study

Dear Mr. Piediscalzi:
The Planning Division of the City of Renton accepted the above master application for review on
April 25, 2017. The application was put on hold on May 10, 2017 and taken off hold on August 2,
2017. The application was put on-hold again on August 17th, 2017 due to continuing
inconsistencies within the submitted wetland report prepared by Sewall Wetland Consulting. In
order to gather additional information on the wetlands, Otak, Inc was hired prepare a secondary
wetlands report.
On December 11, 2017, Otak submitted a new report, dated December 6, 2017, to the Current
Planning Project Manager (enclosed with this letter). The report contains findings and analysis
based on a November 20, 2017 site visit completed by Otak staff. The report concludes that the
original wetlands categorization in the report submitted by Sewall Wetland Consulting was
calculated in correctly.
At this time, your project will remain “on hold” pending receipt of a response to the secondary
