The following briefly describes the application and the necessary Public Approvals. DATE OF NOTICE OF APPLICATION: May 5, 2017 PROJECT NAME/NUMBER: Sunset's Edge Townhomes Variance / LUA17-000230, V-A PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The applicant Is requesting a Critical Areas Variance for development on protected slopes (RMC4-3-050G.5). The applicant is proposing to regrade the steep slope to develop the site into 15 townhomes at 701-707 Sunset Blvd NE. The vacant 0.9 acre site Is located in the Residential Multi -Family (RMF) zoning classification and the Residential High Density (RHD) land use designation. High erosion and high landslide hazards are also mapped in the area. Sunset's Edge Townhomes (LUA16-000864) development has completed Preliminary Planned Urban Development, Preliminary Plat and Environmental (SEPA) Review.
