Good morning Alex,
Ecology received a SEPA 202403071 <https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fapps.ecology.wa.gov%2Fsepar%2FMain%2FSEPA%2FRecord.aspx%3FSEPANumber%3D202403071&data=05%7C02%7CAM

iLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=TUO0OuWuelwx28ruNImBRNy0hrBWGYMau1fczbUzEGM%3D&reserved=0> today regarding Tesla SSD and Collision Center in Renton. Since the proposal was not sent
to Ecology during the comment period, we cannot send an official comment letter. So I want to reach out to you and send you our comment.
Ecology’s comment is for Section B, Environmental Elements; Subsection 7, Environmental Health. The proposed SEPA project is located on a contaminated site Ryerson Steel <https://gcc02.safelinks.prot

ved=0> . This site formerly had two diesel underground storage tanks (UST) and was contaminated with petroleum hydrocarbons in soil and groundwater. The USTs and contaminated soil were
reported removed from the Site in 1993. The site received a No Further Action (NFA) determination from Ecology in 2012.
Ecology recommends proceed cautiously during the project with the knowledge that historic contamination was present at the site. If contamination is encountered during the project, please
stop working and report to Ecology. Ecology also recommends developing a contingency plan on actions that can be taken if contamination is encountered.
Thank you and please let me know if you want to discuss this further.
