install Notes:
1.Verify existing conditions and availability of plant stock, bring
discrepancies to contractor or owner immediately.
2.verify and mark underground utilities prior to excavation.
3.bury no rubbish on site.
4.maintain paved areas and paths clear of construction materials.
5.lawn area to be cleared of rocks, smoothed, and thoroughly
amended with 2"-5" of 3-way topsoil mix or equivalent.
6.lawn may be sod or seed. seed is recommended for turf stability and
aesthetics, Sod is recommended for quick, low maintenance results.
7.planting beds to be edged with staked or dug in edging board.
8.edged planting beds to be cleared of weeds and debris, weed cloth
laid, and filled with 2"-5"of a dry compost.
9.hole sizes for plantings to be 50% bigger in diameter and 10% deeper
than root ball for all plants. scarify sides and bottoms of all
planting holes.
10.planting hole backfill to be 50% existing soil and 50% compost.
11.root balls to be freed of root binding before planting
12.slow release fertilizer should be added to soil around plantings
during install and covered with compost. recommend osmocote plus
15-9-12, dosage instructions on container to be followed.
13.tree density calculation for the lot is
((lot area of 7800sqft) / 5000) x 2 = 3.12 trees. in this plan we have 5.
14.supplemental work to include staking of trees of less than 1.75"
caliper, watering up to 1" per week when dry, weeding, mowing, and
topping off of bedding.
