The project will improve the plant’s ability to produce biomethane gas, which can be used as fuel, from the wastewater treatment process. The project will also improve the plant’s heating systems to more reliably meet process and space heating demands. The project includes construction of the Heat and Energy Recovery Building (HERB), a new thermal oxidizer, heating system improvements within the existing Digester Equipment Building, and utility connections.
