This report is a summary of events that occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events. Statements have been paraphrased and summarized. * On 04.08.2024, at approximately 2352 hours, I was dispatched to a two-vehicle, non-injury, blocking collision in the intersection of S. 3rd ST and Logan Ave S., in the City of Renton, WA, the County of King. I was assigned to uniformed marked patrol in the City of Renton, WA, the County of King. I was operating a fully marked Renton Police Tahoe #304, equipped with "POLICE" markings, overhead exterior lights, and audible siren. I was wearing my department-issued uniform, including a fully equipped duty belt, exterior ballistic vest with "POLICE" stenciled on the front and back and Renton Police badge affixed to the left breast. I was also wearing my department-issued jumpsuit with "POLICE" patches on both shoulders and across the rear shoulders. It would be immediately obvious to any reasonable person I was a police officer. I was assigned as 3r21. At the time of this incident, it was raining steadily, the roadways were wet with standing water, it was nighttime, streetlights were illuminated, and it was approximately 50 degrees. I arrived on scene at approximately 2355 hours and met with both parties, who stated they weren't injured but both involved vehicles had a combination of airbag deployments and were inoperable. Renton Fire Authority was started as a precautionary measure. Unit 01 was identified as a beige/light gray in color Chevy Malibu bearing SC/WZW356. Unit 01 had moderate damage to the front bumper/undercarriage and a combination of airbag deployments. Unit 01 was a rental vehicle (EAN holdings) and it was inoperable. Dispatch was updated and Gene Meyers towing was notified. Unit 01's driver was identified by his WADL as KINTEH, BAKAWSU (DOB: 01.12.1993). KINTEH matched the photo on his DOL return and he stated the vehicle was a rental car and he did not have rental insurance. KINTEH said he was traveling eastbound on S. 3rd ST, a one-way roadway traveling eastbound, and was occupying the right lane of travel. As he approached the intersection with Logan Ave S., KINTEH said he had a solid green traffic signal light and he proceeded eastbound through the intersection when Unit 02, who was facing southbound on Logan Ave S., made a left turn in front of his vehicle. A WACIC/NCIC/DOL query on KINTEH was clear and valid. Unit 02 was identified as a gray in color Honda CR-V bearing WA/ BQG8408. Unit 02 had moderate damage to the passenger side body, the front passenger side tire was flat and there was a combination of airbag deployments. Unit 02 was not operable, and dispatch was updated to start a second tow from Gene Meyer. Unit 02's driver was identified by her WADL as JORGENSON, MARY R (DOB: 07.25.1985). JORGENSON stated she was traveling southbound on Logan Ave S. and as she approached the traffic signal light with S. 3rd ST, she states she had a solid green traffic light, so she proceeded to turn left, eastbound onto S. 3rd ST, when she was struck by Unit 01. A WACIC/NCIC/DOL query on JORGENSON revealed she was clear and valid. There were no independent witnesses to this collision and both parties stated they had the solid green traffic signal light. I did not write any citations as I am unable to determine who failed to stop at the signal light. Both vehicles were towed by Gene Meyers, no injuries were reported.
