23-5884 Injury Collison

Narrative:
On 05.24.2023 at 1629 hours Officer Bowie arrived at a blocking injury collision on SW Grady Way at
Maple AVE SW. I arrived at 1632. The collision occurred at 1626 hours. This address is within the
city limits of Renton, County of King, WA.
I spoke with Alex M Pritchard DOB/07.23.2000, an employee of Brotherton Cadillac. Pritchard did not
have his photo WADL on him, only his employee card and proof of insurance. His identity was later
verified by photo DOL on my computer. Pritchard's DOL status is valid. There was no dealer plate on
the black 2019 Cadillac CT6-V,1 G6KW5RJ5KU 144657 and the vehicle is not yet registered but is
currently owned by Brotherton Cadillac. Pritchard was stopped on westbound SW Grady Way with
his signal turned to make a left turn (south) on Maple AVE SW. A driver in the middle lane waived
him through, but a van was eastbound in the curb lane and Pritchard did not clear that lane and was
not able to either accelerate or brake to avoid the collision. Pritchard had no injuries. Damage to the
car is at the rear bumper. Vehicle not towed.
I spoke with Alphonse Davis DOB/04.16.1975. Davis was the driver of a silver 2019 Dodge Caravan
WA/CMB2454. Davis' DOL status is valid. Davis provided his proof of insurance. Davis told me that
he was eastbound on SW Grady Way when a car tried to make a left turn onto Maple AVE SW in
front of him. Davis was unable to stop. Davis was treated at the scene by Renton Fire for a sore
chest, right shin, right pinky, and right shoulder. Davis had a passenger, his nephew Davion R
Robinson DOB/09.22.01. Robinson was in the front passenger seat. Other than feeling dizzy,
Robinson had no complaint of pain. Robinson told me they were headed eastbound when a car
pulled out in front of him. Damage to this vehicle was the front middle and passenger side bumper.
Vehicle not towed.
Witness Joseph E Clinch DOB/06.10.72, told officers that the Cadillac was trying to turn left onto
Maple AVE SW when he was hit.
Witness Timothy Black was one of the drivers on SW Grady Way who waived the Cadillac through.
He was in the middle eastbound lane and there was a car in the center lane. Black told me that traffic
was stopped for eastbound SW Grady Way traffic, so he flashed his lights at the Cadillac. Black didn't
think he saw any vehicles in the curb lane, but the Cadillac was unable to make the turn before there
was a collision.
No citations issued.
