Dear Corey Thomas,
After meeting with you in regard to pre application PRE17-000164, I am herby requesting a variance to fire
department apparatus access roadways pursuant to RMC 4-4-080.f.6.b.
The variance I am requesting is to reduce the 20’ paved access road to a 16’ paved road access based on the
following conditions:
1. The existing lot is less than 80’ in width. In an effort to meet minimum lot widths, and keep the tract
width for fire safety, reducing the paved access road to 16’ permits the greatest amount of code
compliance.
2. Residential fire sprinklers will be installed on lots 2 & 3 as part of plat conditions.
3. A fire hydrant will be installed in the access tract per short plat designs.
