APPEALS: Appeals of permit issuance must be filed with the City of Renton Hearing Examiner
by 5:00 p.m. on May 7, 2012. Appeals must be filed in writing, together with the required fee
to the City of Renton Hearing Examiner, City of Renton, 1055 South Grady Way, Renton, WA
98057. City of Renton Municipal Code Section 4-8-110 governs appeals to the Hearing

This is a request for a modification to the design standards on CP11188 (1100 North 32 0d Street,
Renton).

We request utilization of a 4/12 roof pitch, as opposed to the approved 6/12 roof pitch. This goes with
the addition of the following design details, which when combined with the changed roof pitch will
enhance the overall elevation and curb appeal of the home.
o Added coverage of flush vertical cedar siding
o Timber frame design of the front porch and stair system
o Timber frame design trellis details over the garage and two (2) windows
o Anderson windows color matched to the exterior colors
o Extended eaves, 2' all around
o Multi-level stone accents
• Glass and aluminum garage door with the frame color matched to the exterior colors
• Overall "Northwest Contemporary"
The combination of these features with the 4/12 roof pitch will be necessary to be in harmony with the
"Northwest Contemporary" design theme. This is consistent with the highly successful development 5
blocks away, Barbee Mill by Conner Homes.
