ED95349 CASE# 23-10134 OF COLLISION 09/02/23 09:27 OF CbLLI510N NARRATIVE Renton Case #23-10134 On 09/02/2023 at 0928 hours I was dispatched to the corner of 108th Ave SE/SE Petrovisky RD, in the City of Renton, King County, Washington. I was responding to a call of non-injury, non-blocking vehicle collision. While en route, dispatch advised the following: Both parties were parked in the U.S. Bank parking lot, one party was refusing to exchange information. At approximately 0941 hours, I arrived and contacted both parties in the U.S. Bank parking lot located at the corner of 108th Ave SE/SE Petrovisky Rd. 1 identified Unit 1 as a gold 2009 Toyota Camry (WA License #CGH8431). Unit 2 sustained minor damage to the right front bumper. I identified the driver of Unit 2 as Ermias Gebreeyesus (DOB 11/27/1994, WA DOL). Gebreeyesus told me he was not injured. I asked Gebreeyesus what happened, he stated he was in the far-left turn lane traveling North on 108th Ave SE when he attempted to change into the center lane. At that time, he struck Unit 1 who was also traveling northbound on 108th Ave SE. Gebreeyesus provided me with his WADL and registration but stated that he did not have car insurance. I Identified Unit 1 as a white 2018 Toyota 86 (WA License #CGD8471). Unit 2 sustained damage to the front left bumper, front left quarter panel, left drivers door, and left rear quarter panel. I identified the driver of Unit 1 as Akil J Brown (DOB 11/19/2001, WA DOL). Brown stated that he was not injured. Brown explained that he was in the far-right lane of 108th Ave SE traveling northbound. He attempted to merge into the center lane of 108th when he struck Unit 2 who was attempting to merge from the opposite lane at the same time. Brown had dash camera footage that he was able to provide that showed the events described above. Brown provided me with his license, registration, and proof of insurance. I provided both parties with an Exchange of Information sheet and gave them their documents back. Gebreeyesus was advised that he would receive a citation in the mail for operating a motor vehicle without insurance. I then cleared the scene. This ends my report.
