HomeMy WebLinkAboutC_Agency_Comment_Letter_KCWTD_Quendall_Lakefront_240819_v1 Department of Natural Resources and Parks Wastewater Treatment Division King Street Center, KSC-NR-5505 201 South Jackson Street Seattle, WA 98104-3855 August 19, 2024 sent via email: cclose@rentonwa.gov KC OAP Ref No.: 2183 Clark Close City of Renton 1055 South Grady Way Renton, WA 98057 Dear Clark Close: The King County Wastewater Treatment Division (WTD) has received the Notice of Application for the Quendall Lakefront - LUA24-000143, BSP-A project at 4505 Ripley Ln N, Renton, WA 98056 that proposes an Administrative Binding Site Plan Amendment to divide the 30.4-acre parcel into five (5) parcels to facilitate environmental clean-up under the direction of the U.S.Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). A King County facility, the Eastside Interceptor and the South Mercer Island Forced Main is located in the proposed work area . (See enclosed record drawing showing the location of the facility in the project vicinity). In order to protect this wastewater facility during construction, WTD requires that City of Renton submit construction drawings for the project, so that WTD can assess its potential impacts. King County has a permanent easement for a sewer line on the two proposed development sites and must be assured the right to maintain and repair the sewer lines. In the event that the line must be relocated, a new permanent easement must be provided.
