EE21048 CASE# 23-12729 OF COLLISION 11/04/23 19:18 OF CbLLI510N NARRATIVE ASSIGNMENT/ARRIVAL On 11/4/2023 at approximately 1920 hours, I was dispatched to a collision on Sunset Boulevard NE at the intersection of the northbound 1-405 onramp in the city of Renton, King County, Washington. I arrived at approximately 1922 hours. UNIT 1: HONDA CR-V Upon arrival I observed a white Honda CR-V (WA/ CAY6186, Unit 1) facing south on Sunset Boulevard NE just north of the 1-405 overpass. Unit 1 had moderate front end damage from the collision. UNIT 2: SUBARU FORESTER I observed a gray Subaru Forester (WA/ CGV3881, Unit 2) facing south on Sunset Boulevard NE in the southbound lane underneath the 1-405 overpass. Unit 2 had moderate front end damage from the collision. DRIVER 1: SHARMA, ABHEY I contacted Abhey Sharma (DOB: 04/22/1996) standing near Unit 1. 1 identified Sharma by his valid Washington Driver License. I established Sharma as the driver of Unit 1 by his admission. Sharma was not injured from the collision. DRIVER 2: KANE, ZACHARY A. I contacted Zachary A. Kane (DOB: 08/12/1992) standing near Unit 2. 1 identified Kane by his valid Washington Driver License. I established Kane as the driver of Unit 2 by his admission. Kane was not injured from the collision. PASSENGERS I contacted Avinash K. Sharma (DOB: 02/02/1963, Unit 1 front right passenger) and Poonam Sharma (DOB: 03/09/1970, Unit 1 left rear passenger) near Unit 1. Avinash was not injured. Poonam was limping, but refused emergency medical treatment. I contacted Alexandria E. Exley (DOB: 10/24/1994, Unit 2 front right passenger). Exley was not injured from the collision. STATEMENT: DRIVER 1 1 spoke with Sharma about the collision. The following is a summary of our conversation: Sharma drove Unit 1 north on Sunset Boulevard NE to get on the northbound 1-405 onramp. Sharma stopped Unit 1 at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard NE and the onramp. Sharma didn't see any vehicles coming south on Sunset Boulevard NE, so he drove into the intersection controlled by a yield sign. Sharma suddenly saw Unit 2 driving "really fast" south on Sunset Boulevard NE toward him. Unit 1's front end collided with Unit 2's front end. This concluded my conversation with Sharma. STATEMENT: DRIVER 2 1 spoke with Kane about the collision. The following is a summary of our conversation: Kane drove Unit 2 south on Sunset Boulevard NE toward the northbound 1-405 onramp. As Unit 2 approached the intersection at about 35 miles per hour, Unit 1 entered the intersection from northbound Sunset Boulevard NE to the northbound 1-405 onramp. Kane was unable to avoid a collision, and Unit 2's front end collided with Unit 1's front end. DISPOSITION I gave both drivers and Exchange of Information form. PAGE 3 OF 5 REPORT NO.
