EE61838 CASE# 24-2683 OF COLLISIONO3/11/24 17:21 NARRATIVE Renton Case #24-2683 On 03/11/2024 at approximately 1723 hours, I was dispatched to T-Mobile, located at 17615 108th Ave SE, in the City of Renton, King County, Washington, for a report of a vehicle that crashed into the building. Upon arrival I observed a red 2016 Hyundai Elantra, bearing WA license plate #CLE6020, parked in front of the building. The vehicle had glass on the hood and windshield of the vehicle and had minor scratches to the front of the vehicle. I identified the driver of the vehicle via his WADL as Mark Harold Mangubat JR (DOB 01/23/1999). Mark told me he was pulling into a parking stall when he pressed on what he thought was the brake pedal on his vehicle, and he accidently pressed the gas pedal instead. Mark stated the vehicle went forward into the building causing damage to the front door. I observed the front door to the vehicle, and it had severe damage to the frame of the vehicle and had the glass broken out of it. I took photos of the damage and of the vehicle and later uploaded them onto AXON. Mark told me he had just purchased the vehicle and did not have insurance for it. I spoke to an employee who witnessed the event and identified her via her WADL as Rebekah Grace Le Bourgeois (DOB 09/09/2004). Rebekah told me she was inside the store and observed the vehicle pull into a parting stall and thought he was a potential customer. Rebekah stated as the vehicle pulled into the parking stall the vehicle accelerated and hit the front door of the building. I provided both parties with my business card with the case number on it and cleared the location. This ends my report.
