Taxiway A Rehabilitation and Associated Improvements , LUA24-000208, ECF
Dear Mr. Adams:
The Planning Division of the City of Renton accepted the above master application for review on July 5,
2024. Due to funding challenges associated with project, you requested on August 8th, 2024 that City
review of the project be temporarily placed on-hold pending additional conversations with the Federal
Aviation Administration (FAA) (Attachment 1). On September 4th, 2024, you sent formal
correspondence to the City (Attachment 2) requesting review of the project to continue.
Therefore, at this time, your project has been taken “off hold” and review of the project will continue.
The Environmental Review Committee meeting has been tentatively scheduled for October 14, 2024.

The Airport and Design Team requests that the City pause the Taxiway A permitting work. We found out from the
FAA on 7/30/24 that the anticipated FY24 grant funds will not be awarded for the Phase 1 construction of the work.
It is unclear when FAA will come up with the funds to construct the work. After discussions with FAA on 8/6/24,
we’re hopeful that the project will receive FY25 and FY26 FAA grants to construct Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the work.
We will continue to keep City Permitting updated on next steps and when we need to re-engage the permit work for
the project.
