EE69667 CASE# 24-3202 OF COLLISION 03/24/24 20:10 OF CbLLI510N NARRATIVE The driver of Unit 1 reported that he was traveling north bound on Kirkland Ave NE approaching a stop sign at the crosstreet of NE 7th ST. Unit 2 was traveling eastbound on NE 7th ST approaching a stop sign at the intersection NE 7th ST and Kirkland Ave NE. Unit 1 was attempting to make a right turn to go east on NE 7th ST, Unit 1 stopped at the sign, checked for traffic and made the turn. Unit 1 reported that Unit 2 ran the stop sign at NE 7th and Kirkland at a high rate of speed with no lights on, which resulted in Unit 2 striking Unit 1's front bumper. The force of the collision caused unit 2's vehicle to spin fully around. Unit 2 reported that he was traveling east bound on NE 7th ST approaching a stop sign at the above inersection. Unit 2 was traveling northbound on Kirkland Ave NE approaching a stop sign at the above intersection. Unit 2 came to a complete stop at the stop sign and continued straight through the intersection. Unit 1 performed a rolling stop at their stop sign and collided with the passenger side of Unit 1, causing the vehicle to spin fully around. I observed skid marks in the roadway from where Unit 2 spun all the way around. Both driver's were uninjured. Unit 1 had significant damage to their front bumper to where it was nearly hanging off. Unit 2 had significant damage to their passenger side door to where the frame of the B pillar was dented. Both vehicles left the scene on their own power. Based upon skid marks in the roadway it is apparent that one of the vehicles was driving at a high rate of speed before the collision. The proximate cause of the collision is an unknown unit ran a stop sign at a high rate of speed. PAGE 3 OF 4 REPORT NO.
