EE87819 CASE# 24-3518 OF COLLISION04/01/24 11:44 NARRATIVE 24-3518 Unless otherwise noted, the following occurred within the city limits of Renton, county of King, state of Washington. On 04/01/2024, 1 was working as a uniformed police officer for the city of Renton. At approximately 1209 hours, I was dispatched to the report of a hit-and-run located at Goodwill, 3210 NE Sunset Blvd. My involvement in the incident was captured on my department-issued Axon body-worn camera. While enroute to the location, dispatched relayed that the vehicle that fled the scene was described only as a blue car. When I arrived on scene, I contacted the victim, Shannon G Schreiber (12/28/1961 -WADL). Shannon was driving a gray 2005 Honda Civic, WA lic/BTC7357, VIN/1 HGES163251_015789. Two of Shannon's knuckles on her left hand were bleeding due to the accident. I requested Renton Regional Fire Authority respond to the scene and evaluate Shannon, who was then cleared. Shannon relayed the following: She was traveling westbound in lane 1 of 2 on NE Sunset Blvd. While driving, she was smoking a cigarette and holding it out the window, when she was struck by another vehicle, only described as a blue car. The vehicle managed to take out her driver's side rear view mirror as well. The vehicle never pulled off the road to exchange information, so Shannon pulled into the Goodwill parking lot and awaited police arrival. I provided Shannon a business card with the case number inscribed on the back of it. The vehicle alleged to have fled the scene was possibly involved in another hit-and-run accident, as well as a hold-up alarm from that same day. The case number for the second hit-and-run is 24-3516, and the case number for the alarm is 24-3517. Please refer to these cases for more information regarding a possible suspect vehicle. The SECTOR diagram created for this collision places the scene of the accident on Sunset Blvd NE, and not NE Sunset Blvd. This is a typo on the satellite images' part, and the road on my diagram is at the appropriate location.
