All construction shall be in accordance with City of Renton and
APWA current speci fications.
Datum shall be K.C.A.S. unless otherwise approved by City of Renton
Department of Public Works.
Al! disturbed areas shall be seeded or stabilized by City of Renton
methods for prevention of on-site erosion after the completion of
construction.
Grass seeding will be done using an approved type hydro-seeder,
or as otherwise approved by the City of Renton Department of Public
Works.
All pipes shal! be laid on a properly prepared foundation according
to Washington State Spec. 7-02.3(1). This shall include necessary
leveling of the trench bottan or the top of the foundation material!
as well as placement and compaction of required bedding material
to uniform grade so that the entire length of the pipe will be sup-
ported on a uniformly dense unyielding base. If the native material in
the bottan of the trench meets the requirements for "Gravel Backfil|
for Pipe Bedding," the first lift of pipe bedding may be omitted
provided the material in the bottan of the trench is loosened, regraded
and compacted to form a dense unyielding base.
All drainage structures not on public right-of-ways shall have solid
locking lids, unless otherwise approved by the Department of Public
Works.
Structures shall not be permitted within ten feet (10') of the spring
line of any storm drainage pipe(s), or 15 feet from the top of any
channel bank.
All CMP pipe shall be 14-gauge and galvanized.
The storm drainage system shall be constructed according to the
approved plans which are on file in the Department of Public Works
Central Records. Any deviation from the approved plans wil! require
written approval from the proper agency, currently the City of Renton
Department of Public Works.
A copy of these approved plans must be on the job site whenever
construction is in progress.
Prior to any construction/development activity, the City of Renton
Department of Public Works Inspection Section must be contacted
for a pre-construction meeting.
ALL R/D FACILITIES WILL BE INSTALLED AND IN OPERATION PRIOR TO OR IN
CONJUNCTION WITH ALL CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY UNLESS THAT ACTIVITY EXCEEDS
THE CAPACITY AND INTENT OF THE EROSION/SEDIMENTATION CONTROL FACILITY
OR UNLESS OTHERWISE APPROVED BY THE CITY.
All catch basin grates shall be depressed 0.10 feet below pavement
level. ; F
All grate inlets shall have the required lettering "Outfal! to Stream,
Dump No Pollutants" shown on them.
All spot elevations shown on plan are to top of pavement.
All "engineered fills" shall be compacted to 90% maximum density
ASTM D-1557). All imported fil! material shall be bank run gravel,
Class "B." The embankments shall be constructed In successive horizon
tal layers not exceeding 8 inches in loose thickness which includes
fill in culvert areas.
The faces of cut and fill slopes shall be prepared and maintained
to control against erosion. This control may consist of effective
planting. The protection for the slopes shall be installed as soon as
practicable and prior to calling for final approval. Where cut slopes
are not subject to erosion due to the erosion-resistant character of
the materials, such protection may be omitted.
Detrimental amounts of organic material shal! not be permitted in
fills. Except as permitted by the building official, no rock or
similar irreducible material with a maximum dimension greater than 12
inches shall be buried or placed in fills. All imported material shal |
be imported gravel, Class "B" bank run or better.
All curbing to be six-inches (6") high extruded concrete curbing
per detail.
All existing utilities shown on these plans were obtained from avail-
able public records. Contractor shal! be responsible for locating all
utilities which may conflict with construction whether shown on these
plans or not. Engineer does not warrant that all utilities have been
shown. :
All Type | and Type |! catch basins shall be standard Renton concrete
C.B.'s or equivalent.
Contractor to direct all yard drainage into paved road areas, yard
drains or catch basins.
