CITY CREWS WILL ABANDON THE EXISTING 6" WATER MAIN FOLLOWING THE TRANSFER OF SERVICES TO THE NEW 12" WATER MAIN. 5. ALL FITTINGS AND VALVES WITH MECHANICAL JOINT (MJ) END(S) SHALL HAVE A WEDGE -TYPE RETAINER GLAND EQUAL TO MEGALUG SERIES 1100. 6. CONCRETE THRUST BLOCKS REQUIRED ON ALL FITTINGS PER COR STANDARD PLANS 330.2 AND 330.3. 7 CONTRACTOR TO POTHOLE ALL UTILITY CROSSINGS TO IDENTIFY CONFLICTS WITH NEW WATER MAIN PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION.
