EF26058 CASE# 24-10757 OFC LNaoy L isI©�ON 10/15/24 18:50 F cu NARRATIVE Unless otherwise noted, all events took place in the City of Renton, in the County of King, in the State of Washington. This incident was captured on my body worn video camera and in-car cameras. This report is a summary of events that occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events. On 10/15/2024, at approximately 1850 hours I was dispatched to a report of a collision at 405 Logan Ave N. Dispatch advised 1 motor vehicle was flipped on to its side. At approximately 1853 hours I arrived on scene. The collision occurred just south of N 3rd St on Logan Ave N. I observed the Unit 1 vehicle turned over on its left side. I observed the Unit 2 Vehicle pulled over with minor damage to the front driver side fender. There was also damage to the light pole on the side of the road. Both parties stated they were not injured and were cleared by Renton Fire. The Driver of Unit 1 provided their license, registration, and proof of insurance. The driver of Unit 2 provided their license and registration but did not have valid insurance. I spoke to the driver of Unit 1 and he relayed the following information. He was driving southbound in lane 2 of 2 on Logan Ave N. He had just past the intersection of N 3rd St, when an unknown vehicle in the northbound lane 2 of 2 swerved into his lane. To avoid the car, he swerved to his right into southbound lane 1 of 2. He didn't realize there was a car to his right. The front passenger side tire rode up to the driver side hood of Unit 2 cause his car to lean on its left two tires only. He then hit a light pole that cause his car to completely flip on its left side. His front driver and passenger air bags deployed. I spoke with the driver of Unit 2 who relayed the following information. She was driving southbound in lane 1 of 2 on Logan Ave N. She had just past the intersection of N 3rd St when the driver of Unit 1 swerved from southbound lane 2 of 2 into her lane. The front passenger side wheel of Unit 1 rode up the hood of her car on the driver side causing Unit 1 to lean on its left two tires only. Unit one the rode into the light pole on the curb on the right side of the road and flipped completely on the left side. Officer Seibert interviewed a witness who stated they saw a vehicle driving northbound in lane 2 of 2 on Logan Ave N. They saw the vehicle swerve into lane 2 of 2 southbound forcing Unit 1 to swerve to his right. They were not able to provide a good description of the vehicle.
