There are also trees planted in this area. The northwestern fence line does not appear to have space for landscaping given the layout of the property. (b) Quality fence material, such as cedar fencing The fence material consists of 12.5-gauge galvanized steel wires suspended horizontally to a height of 7’ and is located 4-8 inches inside/behind the existing perimeter fence per IEC and ANSI standards. (c) Modulation of the fence Does not appear to be applicable to these perimeter security systems. (d) Similar design and material as other fences in the surrounding neighborhood This business has requested multiple locations be protected with this system including 150 SW 7th St and 800 SW 16th Street. (e) Increased setbacks from the adjacent sidewalk The system will be approximately 180 feet from the street frontage. (f) Ornamental materials or construction treatment, such as wrought iron Ornamental fencing can be dressed with mesh to ensure apertures in the fence are not too large per IEC and ANSI standards. Wrought iron specifically leaves enough space to reach through and have potential incidental contact with the system. This project, however, will be installed behind chain link fencing. (g) Orientation of the finished face of the fence toward the street; and, Other comparable construction or design methods There is no “finished face” with this system so this should not apply.
