SUBJECT: Bidder Questions & Responses #4 - Talbot Hill Reservoir Park Improvements
1. Bidder Question:
• Since the tennis and pickleball net posts are to be refurbished and Addendum B
has added bid line items for 3 nets for ea. Is bid line-item A-26 for the six
moveable pickleball nets and paddle racks obsolete or is there to be 6 movable
pickleball nets along with the 3 permanent ones?
Response
• Bid line-item A-26 for the six moveable pickleball nets and paddle racks is not
obsolete. The six moveable pickleball nets are in addition to the replacement of
the nets and refurbished posts of the 3 existing Tennis Court Nets (bid item A-35)
and the 3 existing pickleball Nets (bid item A-36).
2. Bidder Question:
• The Divider Net Note 1 says to provide a divider net that is 10' high and 41'8"
long. The divider nets shown on drawings L.02 and S.02 show two nets between
the three pickleball courts and the length scales on each drawing to be 30' long.
Please clarify.
Response
• The net length will be changed to 28ft long. Addendum E will be issued with this
specific revision and clarification
11/22/2024
3. Bidder Question
• Douglas Sport's height of the netting is a maximum of 9'. They attach a 1' high
panel by Velcro to the 9' high panel to create a 10' net.
Response
• The total height of the divider net is 10 ft and this height should include a
bottom 1 ft net skirt/kick plate. Divider Net Note 1, the Section on S.02, and
clarification in the plan on L.02 will be revised and issued in Addendum E.
4. Bidder Question
• Douglas Sport could not provide the 10' net posts as shown on drawing S.02. Is
post custom made by a local fence company?
Response
• Correct. The Divider Net Structure, Post, and Foundation are a custom build.
