RMC 4-9-030-28 HABITAT REPORT
Refer to the attached Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife Priority Habitats and Species on
the Web map. Mapping indicates that priority habitats and species have not been identified on the project
site.
We have contacted the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife who have confirmed that the
subject parcels have not been surveyed, or that no priority habitats and species are present, nor are they
aware of any unmapped, sensitive/endangered species present in the general location of the parcels in
question.
The site has been walked by the design team and Renton Regional Fire Authority and given the subject
parcels are developed and cleared, with no additional habitat observations, we believe we have
performed our due diligence to determine the presence of priority species and habitat.
Songbirds have been observed on/near site.
Wildlife mammal species expected to utilize the project site most are species that are adapted to living in
urban settings. These species generally include raccoons, opossums, eastern gray squirrel, rats, mice
and bats.
Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife recommends preserving on-site trees if development
allows to maintain migratory corridors and shade for local wildlife species. The project proposes to
maintain 33% of existing trees per the Arborists Report and Tree Retention Plans with additional
landscaping as identified on the landscape plan.
