HomeMy WebLinkAboutAddendum - 2Docusign Envelope ID: 258F1A5E-8A0D-45A7-8FB1-509D891 CC7FD AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO AGREEMENT CAG-23-123 FOR TOPOGRAPHIC SURVEY WORK FOR STORM SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS THIS AMENDMENT, dated for reference purposes only as November 24, 2024, is by and between the City of Renton (the "City"), a Washington municipal corporation, and PACE Engineers ("Consultant"), a Washington corporation. The City and the Consultant are referred to collectively in this Amendment as the "Parties." Once fully executed by the Parties, this Amendment is effective as of the last date signed by both parties. Whereas, the City engaged the services of the Consultant under Agreement CAG-23-123, dated June 16, 2023, to provide necessary services for the surveying required for Storm System Improvement Projects (referred to herein as the "Agreement"); Whereas, the Parties wish to amend the Agreement to change the scope of work and change the compensation in order to provide potholing data to support design for storm system improvements and to add additional areas of survey and basemapping. NOW THEREFORE, It is mutually agreed upon that CAG-23-123 is amended as follows: 1.Scope of Work: Section 1, Scope of Work, is amended to add work as specified in Exhibit A-1 and attachments 1, 2, and 3, which are attached and incorporated herein. 2.Compensation: Section 4, Compensation, is amended so that the maximum amount of compensation payable to Consultant is increased by $99,580.50 from $111,803.18 to $211,383.68, plus any applicable state and local sales taxes. The additional compensation shall be paid based upon Work actually performed according to the rate(s) or amounts specified in Exhibit B-2 which is attached and incorporated herein. 3.All terms of the Agreement not explicitly modified herein shall remain in full force and effect and such terms shall apply to Work performed according to this Amendment as if fully set forth herein. Surface indications of utilities, such as vaults, pedestals, etc. Utility lines that can be visually observed, located by RF locating equipment (APS estimate fee of $1,250.00), or identified on readily available record drawings received through the Utility Providers. Accessible sewer and storm structures will be measured for invert elevations, size of pipe, size of structure, and approximate water levels found in any drainage structures at the time of the survey. Overhead utilities, estimated elevations, and poles. Signs. Roadway markings, such as centerlines, lane markings, etc. Individual ornamental street trees of any size; any tree 8-inch diameter four feet above the Contours will be generated at a one-foot interval. 70.3 Boundary Survey The monuments required to define the right-of-way centerlines will be surveyed and the right-of-way centerlines and margins will be calculated and shown. We estimate that the survey fieldwork will take approximately 5 days, followed by an additional 5 days of office reduction. Deliverables One signed PDF and electronic files in ACAD 2024 Civil 3D format of the Topographic and Boundary survey, per City of Renton Survey and Drafting Standards per site. Sewer and storm drainage structures will be located to the nearest structure outside of the road mapping area. Applied Professional Services, Inc. East Valley Rd.Storm Improvements Project Scope:Potholing APS, Inc. will utilize our Air Vacuum Excavation System to verify utilities at selected test-hole locations to verify depth and location determined by Pace Engineers. APS, Inc. shall air vacuum excavate up to (45)test-holes on existing underground utilities. If a test-hole falls in the hard surface APS, Inc. shall jackhammer the existing asphalt or concrete. APS, Inc. shall backfill all test-holes with a material approved by the local jurisdiction CDF backfill and permanent asphalt repair are excluded from this scope. If the local jurisdiction requires CDF backfill and/or permanent asphalt repair additional fees will be required. Collect utility and test-hole data, and photograph all found utilities. This estimate is based on design engineering rates in which case prevailing wages do not apply. with and EZ street cold patch. This patch comes with a 2-year warranty from the date the test-hole was performed. Grind and overlay of the existing roadway is not covered in this scope. Should the local jurisdiction require additional restoration, other than what is included in the scope, then additional fees will be required. All bonding and/or ROE will be obtained prior to APS arriving on site. Deliverables:Potholing Test-hole data sheets, which include Top, Bottom, Width, Diameter and Direction of the utility. Excel spread sheet containing all test-hole data for the project. All field notes with offsets shown in a hand drawn sketch. Photo of all Found Utilities. One and a quarter inch zinc washer left at grade where utility was found with measurements stamped into it.
