The two subject parcels on which the work is proposed are approximately 19,596 square feet (.44 acre), were purchased by the school district in 2017 and will be integrated into the existing larger site with consistent landscaping and site improvements, such as EV charging stations, stormwater system improvements and additional lighting. The proposal will also include frontage improvements, consisting of an approximately 1,200 SF public amenity space on the corner of Park Ave. N and N 5th Street, the elimination of three driveways and associated curb cuts, and additional street trees and a 10.5-foot-wide landscaping strip along Park Avenue North. Other Permits/Approvals Anticipated: City of Renton: Conditional Use Permit, Administrative Site Plan Review, Civil Construction Permit, Building Permit, Variance Approval for fence height in setback. Puget Sound Clean Air Agency: Demolition approval (if needed). Environmental Documents: Site Plan, Cultural Assessment. To Be Prepared: Landscape Plans, Drainage Report, Geotech Report, Grading and Construction drawings.
