BUILDING/GUARD HOUSE D--50 IS A 1—STORY

BOEING IS INSTALLING A GUARD HOUSE AS PART OF
EFFORTS TO INCREASE SECURITY ON RENTON FIELD.
THE GUARD HOUSE WILL MONITOR VEHICLE ACCESS
TO RENTON FIELD.
SCOPE:
INSTALL/MODIFY 30.5'x12.5' WOOD STRUCTURE,
TRENCH APPROX. 60' FOR UTILITIES, AND MODIFY

1. PROTECTION OF SITE
Locate all existing and new underground utility lines prior to any construction. Save and protect existing trees
designated to remain. Repair any damage done to existing curbing, sidewalks, fences, and any other damage
caused ae a result of this contract.
2. GRADING
Landscape Contractor to be responsible for providing sub reds at all paved areas and directly adjacent landscape
yp
areas as indicated on plans, in tical details and cross -sections and as discussed during preconstruction meetings.
Notify Owner's representative of 'any discrepancy or potential surface or subsurface drainage problems prior to
starting work,
3. LAYOUT
Do not scale drawings, use dimensions and layout notation. If compound radiuses and curves are shown without notation
keep the radiusee smooth and evenly tapered between tan ante. Stake or paint locations of all pavement or masonry
structures in the Field for acceptance by Owner or Landeca�e Architect. Failure to notify Owner or Landscape Architect
of any discrepancies, and conflicts immediately shall result in contractor accepting any and all remedial measures,
4. SLEEVING
Provide a minimum of (2) 4" PVC sleeves at all isolated landscape areas within pavement and walls and across driveways.
5. STRUCTURAL FILL
Provide compactible structural fill as required at driveway and pedestrian pavement to insure minimal settlement of
base materials.
6. PAVEMENT
Provide pavement that is smooth, rseqqular, pitched for proper drainage, uniformly colored without soft spots, waves,
fills, dips, or podkat6. Edge lines ehIll be uniform and smooth Asphalt pavement gas that do not abut concrete
pavement shall have a hand -tamped edge angled at approximately 45'. Seal all a pFialt meet lines and butt joints and
apply tads coat at feathered or shimmed edges.
8. DRAINAGE
Slope all pavement to drain at 2% Min. Contractor is responsible for providing adequate drainage on all paved surfaces
and directly adjacent landscape grades.
S. FINISHES
The Owner or Landscape Architect shall approve all pavement and masonry finishes prior to construction. Provide
samples, photographs or cut sheets of firi'is'hes for review.

11. CLEAN UP
Contractor to remove from site all excess pavement material and provide clean eubgrade in all planting areas free from
slag, aggregate or other waste products generated
LANDSCAPE CXENERAi . NOTES
1. PROTECTION OF SITE

2. SUBGRADE PREPARATION
Remove from site all invaeive weeds (i e. grasses, blackberry, scotch broom) and rocks/dabns lar er than a
i" size from planting areas prior to placenn�g topsoil and as uncovered during tilling and planting. ill all plating
areas to a depth of 6" prior to placement of topsoil unless otherwise noted on p an(s).
3. TOPSOIL
Imported topsoil shall be a prepared 2 way or winter mix topsoil from an approved commercial supplier. Provide
3' minimum depth in all lawn areas. Provide 10" minimum depth in all shrub beds, 6" minimum depth in
groundcove• areas. Provide imported topsoil to depth only in planting areas outside of any existingtrees
aesignated to remain. Pocket plant shrubs and groundcovar with topsoil badkfill in planting areas th3t occur
within dripines of existing trees.
4. MULCH
Provide 2" depth medium d. fir bark mulch in all new shrub and groundcover areas.
5. GRAD ING
Landscape Contractor to be responsible for maintaining finish ggrading in all planting areas as indicated on
plans, in typical details and croee-eactions and as discussed caring precon6truction meetings. verify
provision of rough grade by general contractor or Owner to pius/minus one tenth foot. Notify Owner's
representative of any discrap-dncy or potential drainage problems in eubgrade prior to starting work
6. PLANT MATERIALS
All plant materials are relocated from existing site areas. Ball in burlap as regiurad and transpllant with root ball in tact.
1. FERTILIZER
Fertilize all plant material with 119 'Agriform' tablets. Provide (4) tablets par tree, (2) per shrub, and (1) per
groundcover. Place tablete around rootball after backfilling by 5M for tree, shrub, and groundcover planting.
8. SOIL POLYMER
Provide 'Soil Moist' or approved alternate. Provide (3) ounces per caliper inch of tree trunk diameter. Provide
(1) ounce per shrub and I/2' ounce per groundcover. Add soil polymer to badkrill mix of trans, shrubs and
groundcover.
9. HYDROSEED
Provide one application the designated area(s) of the Landscape Plan at the following rates of slurry-
- Seed, 3 wa4 bland, IW% perennial r s at 12 Ibs. per 1000 SF
- Fertilizer, 10-10-20 with urea form FTFE at 400 Ibe. per acre.
- Hydromulch, 'Silva -Fibre' by Weyerhaeuser (or equal) at 1,600 Ibs, per acre.
- Lima, to achieve a pH beetwaen 5 and 1
- Water, 50M allon6 per acre.
-Tadufier, at 40 tbs. per acre on slopes greater than 4096.
10. IRRIGATION
Restoration of automatic irrigation system at new and restored planting areas snail be per bidder design.
Irrigation system shall include verification of double check per urisdiction requirements and inspection,
6ch 40 man Ines and class 200 laterals trenched to a 12" min, 4th Provide Rain Bird IWO series
heads and nozzles and Rain Bird DVF or PGA series automatic remote control valves. Provide 12"
pop-up heads in shrub/ggroundcover areas and 4" pop -ups in lawn areas. verify worhung order
of existing controller. and restored Irrigation zones shall have complete head to head coverage with
separate zones For north, south, east and west exposure, as well as lawn and shrub/groundcover areas.
Nozzele shall be adjusted to provide optimal coverage with minimum overapray. Irrigation system bid
shalt include first year winterization bg compressed air blow-out and sprinnclq start-( Irrigation contractor
to provide ae-bult drawing showing locations of all main lines, laterals, vlaves and indication of zones.
Irrgation contractor to provide a one year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship in new
ana restored areas.
11. MAINTENANCE
Landscape Contractor to maintain site until final acceptance of the job by the Owner. Site shall be maintained
during landscape construction to keep site clean of excess soil or excavation on paved areas. Landscape
contr ctor to coodnate with Bast Management Practices of the jurisdiction of the site.
12 CLEAN UP
Prior to final acceptace and payment, the Landscape Contractor shall remove from site all trash and debris
caused as a result of this contract and shall pressure wash or wet broom all soil from pavement.
