SOUTHPORT OFFICE HELIPAD SUBMISSION
CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT APPLICATION
SUBMITTED TO THE CITY OF RENTON
FOR SECO DEVELOPMENT, INC.
FOR A BUSINESS PRIVATE-USE HELIPAD
INTRODUCTION
This submittal is organized according to city of Renton submittal requirements for conditional
use permits. Several sections have been waived by the city either by a written waiver which is
included in Section 2 or by phone conversation with Clark Close of the city planning department
on November 6, 2017. Waivers were provided either because subjects are clearly not associated
with or applicable to this proposal or because documents and plans for the underlying structure
supporting the proposed helipad or for the entire complex it is part of have addressed those
subjects. Sections that have been waived are identified below.
Section headings are listed in order shown on the city’s submittal requirements document. Some
headings refer readers to substantive content in the appendix.
A pre-application meeting was held at the Renton city office October 19, 2017. In attendance
were Clark Close (planning), Ian Fitz-James (public works), Corey Thomas (fire plan reviewer)
and Craig Burnell (building department reviewer). A pre-application report, number PRE-
000646 was prepared and is included in Section 1.
This submittal is made on behalf of Seco Development, Inc. by Airsafe a Washington-based
aviation and consultation firm owned by David Ketchum located at 888 Seabluff Terrace,
Coupeville, Washington whose statement of qualifications is appended.
