Cost to hookup depends on where the unit is from the main. Our best guess is 4-7000.00. You’ll have to run the service line from our Meter to the house as well. We can have our vendor provide a better estimate when you ask us to…. Then you’ll be charged a monthly fee once hooked up. I’m On vacation until Sunday if I’d call you! I can be reached at 206-819-6588. We are starting the process and this is one of the request the city is needing before we can go any further. I look forward to hearing from you. The Maplewood addition is a unique site in that it is one of very few places in the City still receiving water from a private well. Since your property is not served by City of Renton water or sewer we have a tiny bit of homework for you to do. First thing we will need is a water availability from the Maplewood Addition Water Coop saying that they can provide sufficient water for the new ADU (Please contact Beverly Spears bevspears@gmail.com – President of the Maplewood addition Water coop). The second piece is that the City of Renton does not have any control over septic systems. You will need to reach out to King County public health and receive approval from them that your septic system can handle the increased capacity from building the ADU (Link to King County Public Health: https://kingcounty.gov/depts/health/environmental- health/piping/onsite-sewage-systems.aspx). These are comments that I would typically give back during our review meeting. I thought it would be best if we first make sure that these other utility jurisdictions would allow for an ADU to be built on your property before getting too far into the PRADU process. Please let us know if you have any additional questions for us!
