1. BEFORE ANY CONSTRUCTION OR DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITY OCCURS, A PRE- CONSTRUCTION MEETING MUST BE HELD WITH THE CITY OF RENTON,
PUBLIC WORKS DESIGN ENGINEER.
2. Post sign with name and phone number of CSWPP/ESC supervisor (may be consolidated with the required notice of construction sign).
3. Flag or fence clearing limits.
4. Install catch basin protection as shown on plans.
5. Grade and install construction entrance(s).
6. Install perimeter protection (silt fence as shown on plans).
7. Construct sediment trap as shown on plans.
8. Grade and stabilize construction roads.
9. Construct surface water controls (interceptor dikes, pipe slope drains, etc.) simultaneously with clearing and grading for project development.
Construct SWPPS controls in anticipation of scheduled construction activity (e.g., concrete -related pH measures for utility, vault or roadway construction)
10. Maintain erosion control measures in accordance with Appendix D of the City of Renton Surface Water Design Manual and manufacturers recommendations.
11. Relocate erosion control measures or install new measures so that as site conditions change the erosion and sediment control and pollution prevention is
always in accordance with the City's Erosion and Sediment Control Standards.
12. Cover all areas that will be unworked for more than seven days during the dry season or two days during the wet season with straw, wood fiber mulch, compost, or equivalent.
13. Stabilize all areas that reach final grade within seven days.
14. Seed or sod any areas to remain unworked for more than 30 days.
15. Upon completion of the project, all disturbed areas must be stabilized and BMPs removed.

Pre -Construction Site Preparation Phase �
1. Stage equipment away from trees and vegetation to be retained so that existing plants and their roots are protected.
2. Fence off with chain link or construction fencing all entry and exit routes.When planning routes, avoid utility access corridors.
a. Protect irrigation and drainage systems shall from damage unless plans call for renovation of such systems.
b/ Stake and/or flag clearing limits and tree protection to be verified and approved by the City's clearing and grading inspector
at the requiredpreconstruction meeting.
c. Project Arborist will supervise and verify the following tree protection measures are in place and comply with the approved
tree protection plan.
A 6" layer of coarse mulch or woodchips is to be placed beneath the Tree Protection Zone (TPZ) of the protected trees.
Mulch is to be kept 12" from the trunk.
Tree Protection Fencing of 6" chain link fencing shall be installed around the TPZ of protected tree(s). The fencing can be
moved within the TPZ if authorized by the Clearing and Grading Inspector and the Project Arborist but not closer than 2"
from the trunk of any tree. Fence posts shall be 1.5" in diameter and are to be driven 2" into the ground. The distance
between posts shall not be more than 10".Tree protection fencing shall have a warning signs prominently installed on
each fence at 20-foot intervals. The sign shall be a minimum 8.5-inches x 11-inches and clearly state:
" WARNING - Tree Protection Zone"
