NARRATIVE
4:30am on 9/29/23 I was driving to work. Positioned in the inside lane going down Sunset Blvd towards the landing. As I was
passing Safeway(on my left)a silver Nissan Rogue came out of the Safeway parking lot at a high rate of speed. I was in the
inside lane closest to the turn lane, and it scared me because it was so close to me. I maintained my lane and when I looked
in my rear view mirror the small SUV was coming up on me with their high beam headlights flashing. The next thing I felt was
a shake throughout the car, the SUV rear ended me. I stopped the vehicle and exited my car. A male hispanic gentlemen
had his window down and was doing the "what" motion at me with his hands up. Obviously, irritated I said "what the F"?? Or
something similar and told him to go town the road and pull over; this is when he backed up and took off. I called 911, and
was on the phone with the operator while the driver of the vehicle got on 405 South just above the Landing, I followed him for
a short while, before dispatch told me to not do that. I was instructed to drive to Lowes at the Landing which I did, but I
needed to get to work so after waiting a short while I had to go. I called 911 back and told them that the damage was minimal
and that I was un-injured and that I just needed to get to work. Renton officer(I'm sorry I was a bit flustered and forgot his
name) called and I told him what happened. He gave me a#for this to reference which is RP230057125. Anyway, things
could have been worse, I am just happy it wasn't one of those car jackings or worse. Thanks - Spencer Cole
