This incident was captured on my body worn video camera. This report is a summary of events that occurred
and is not an exact sequencing of events. Statements have been paraphrased and summarized.
On 01/17/2025 at approximately 1816 hours I was dispatched to a non-injury hit and run collision which had
occurred at 108th Ave SE and SE Carr Rd, City of Renton, County of King, Washington. Dispatch advised a gray
Audi SUV bearing WA Plate CHS0744 had been involved in a collision and fled on SE Carr Rd.
I contacted the reporting party,Jordan E. Garana (09/18/2000),who is the owner of a tan 2007 Toyota Camry
(WA/CKJ8786) (VIN:JTNBE46K573126952). Garana advised me of the following:
Unit#2 (Garana) was traveling northbound on 108th Ave SE in lane 2 of 4 when Unit#1 turned north onto 108
th Ave SE from the parking lot of O'Reilly's automotive. Unit#1 entered the roadway and immediately
attempted to merge into lane 2 and collided with the front passenger side of Unit#2.
Unit#1 then turned and proceeded westbound on SE Carr Rd without stopping to trade information with
Garana.
Garana stated Unit#1 did not drive recklessly to flee from the scene of the collision but did not stop. Garana
followed Unit#1 to Interurban Ave S and Gateway Dr in Tukwila before Unit#1 stopped in a business there. I
requested Tukwila PD go to the location to respond but Unit#1 left again on SR 599.
Garana described the driver as an adult Hispanic male. He stated he saw him get out of the vehicle when it
stopped in Tukwila and believes he could identify him.
Garana sent me photos of the damage to his vehicle which I uploaded to AXON.
I provided Garana with the case number.
Unit#1 (SUSPECT) committed one (1) count of Hit-and-Run—Attended by being involved in an accident with
another vehicle, which is attended, and failing to stop and remain at the scene until fulfilling all statutory
duties (provide name, address, insurance company, policy,vehicle license, exhibit driver's license and render
reasonable assistance to any person injured).
