On January 18, 2025 at approximately 1518 hours I was working uniformed patrol in my fully marked
patrol vehicle when I dispatched myself to a hit and run that occurred at the intersection of East
Valley Rd and SW 43rd St, in the City of Renton, County of King, and State of Washington.
Prior to my arrival, Kent PD advised that they were out with the victim vehicle. They also had fire
respond to check on injuries. No injuries were sustained.
Upon my arrival, I spoke to the driver of unit 2, lamunique Wyrick who advised me that a vehicle
collided with her and then fled the scene. She then showed me a dashcam video from a witness.
Below is a summary of events.
Unit 1 was traveling westbound on SW 43rd St. Unit 2 was traveling northbound on East Valley Rd.
Unit 1 had a red and stopped in the middle of the intersection. As unit 2 started to proceed through
the intersection, with a green light, unit 1 then decided to floor it and collided with unit 2. Unit 1 then
fled the scene. Unit 1 is a black 4 door sedan driven by a light skin male. I conducted an area check
for the vehicle but was unable to locate it.
There is dashcam video of the incident. I told the victim to upload it to evidence.com. A link was sent.
