This report is a summary of events that occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events.Statements have been paraphrased and summarized. On 01.30.2025, at approximately 1907 hours, Renton Police Officers were dispatched to a multi-vehicle, blocking collision with injuries in the intersection of S. Grady Way and Rainier Ave S., in the City of Renton, WA, the County of King. At the time of this incident, I was assigned to uniformed marked patrol in the City of Renton, WA, the County of King. I was operating a fully marked Renton Police Tahoe #304, equipped with "POLICE" markings, overhead exterior lights, and audible siren. I was wearing my department-issued uniform, including a fully equipped duty belt, exterior ballistic vest with "POLICE" stenciled on the front and back and Renton Police badge affixed to the left breast. I was also wearing my department-issued jumpsuit with "POLICE" patches on both shoulders and across the rear shoulders. It would be immediately obvious to any reasonable person I was a police sergeant. I was assigned as the graveyard patrol sergeant for the north end of the city, 6r20. Officer T. Ediger aired he on-viewed a recklessly driven vehicle traveling eastbound on SW Grady Way, drive through a red traffic signal light, pass through the intersection with Rainier Ave S, resulting in a high-speed collision with approximately 4 (four) vehicles in the intersection. While on scene, Officer Ediger and K9 Officer Adam made the correlation that two of the involved vehicles may have been involved in a shooting at Costco in Tukwila, 400 Costco Drive, referenced under Tukwila Case#: 25-564. The details in the Tukwila incident were dispatched at 1901 hours, at the above listed location and involved the following: `RP WITN GRY SEDAN SHOOTING AT ANOTHER GRY SEDAN, GOA UNK.' Officer Ediger advised dispatch he observed bullet holes in the back of one of the involved vehicles, and another gray sedan with Florida plates briefly pulled up to the collision scene, one Hispanic male exited that vehicle and the vehicle fled eastbound on S. Grady Way, towards the Chevron gas station. Officer: Christiansen,Jeanna #R10437 Reviewed By: Christiansen,Jeanna M Datefrime: 01 /30/2025 10:37 Collision 2025-00000987 Paqe 4 OF 6 Case Number 2025-00000987 Officer Narrative-Continued Numerous Renton Officers responded to the Chevron and detained one Hispanic male driver without incident. Officer Ediger aired he potentially had another shooting suspect and the shooting `victim' at his location at Rainier Ave S., and S. Grady Way, and he was the sole officer on scene. I asked Officer J. Turner to respond to Officer Ediger's location to assist him as he was potentially out with two individuals involved in a shooting incident. While en route to Officer Ediger, Officer Turner was operating Renton Police Vehicle#313, with his emergency lights and sirens activated. As Officer Turner was traveling westbound in the 300 block of S. Grady Way, he was occupying the left lane of traffic, attempting to navigate the very heavy traffic backflow, in an attempt to get to Officer Ediger quickly. Officer Turner was attempting to maneuver through the very heavy traffic when he struck the rear driver's side wheel well of Unit 02, which was later identified as a black in color Ford Escape bearing WAID97141D. This vehicle had damage, scuff/rub/possible dents to the back rear driver's side '/ panel and wheel well. The operator of this vehicle was identified by his WADL as LAGUIDAO,ADRIANAREVALO(DOB:02.12.1990; 907/209-2165 Since I was occupied with this incident, I asked Officer Turner to obtain LAGUIDAO's information and take photographs of the damage to his vehicle. LAGUIDAO was provided a copy of the case number and left the scene without incident, he was not injured. Unit 01 was identified as a black/white in color Renton Police Vehicle #313, a Chevy Tahoe bearing WA Exempt Plate I_61611D. Unit 01 had minimal scuffing/rub damage to the front passenger side '/4 panel and wheel well, but it was operable. Officer Turner took photographs of the damage to his vehicle and both vehicle photographs were uploaded to AXON evidence under this case number. Further, I completed the damage to City property form via Origami under Incident Report Number: 1-2025-023. All photos have been uploaded into Axon Evidence. I emailed Commander Swain and Officer Turner a copy of the report. No injuries were reported and both vehicles sustained minimal damage and were operable. Tukwila Police arrived on scene to take custody of all potential suspects as well as both involved vehicles in the shooting.
