This incident was captured on my body worn video camera. This report is a summary of events that occurred
and is not an exact sequencing of events. Statements have been paraphrased and summarized.
On 01/22/2024 at approximately 1927 hours I was flagged down for a hit and run report at Brotherton Cadillac
located at 215 SW 12th St, City of Renton, County of King, Washington.The reporting party, Ritz B. Baccay
(01/27/1982), informed me she returned to her vehicle after working from 0900-1900 hours and noticed
damage to the driver's side bumper. Her vehicle is a black 2021 nexus GS bearing WA/CNR2981.
Baccay stated she works at Sound Ford and left her vehicle around 0900 hours to go to work. She did not
return until 1900 when she discovered the damage. I looked at Baccay's vehicle and saw damage consistent
with what she had told me. I photographed the damage and uploaded it to AXON.
Due to where Baccay's vehicle was parked in proximity to the service bays, and the height of the damage on
her vehicle, I suspect a tow truck or similar vehicle backed out and collided with her vehicle.
I spoke with an associate from Brotherton Cadillac who informed me he did not have access to the cameras.
He informed me the finance department operates the cameras and he would ask them to be reviewed in the
morning. I provided him a case number to give to finance for when the review the video.
I provided Baccay with a Renton Police Department case number and a business card.
There is no further information at this time.
