Officer Narrative
Narrative
On 1/25/2025 at 2244 hours, I was dispatched to a hit and run collision near the 480 block of Sunset
Blvd N.
Pre-Collision
Unit 1's driver fled the scene prior to Police arrival. Witness 1 stated that the driver was a black
female in her 30's, thin build, approximately 5'5"-6", wearing mostly black. A blurry photo was
provided but was deemed not suffice for evidentiary purposes.
Unit 2's driver stated that she was traveling South on i405 and proceeding down the off-ramp onto
Sunset Blvd N in the #1 lane. Driver 2 stated that she continued in this lane.
Collision
Unit 1 performed a U-turn from Northbound Sunset Blvd N to proceed South on Sunset Blvd N. While
doing so, Driver 1 failed to yield to the right of way of Unit 2 and failed to maintain it's lane. Unit 1's
front passenger side bumper collided with the rear drivers side door of Unit 2.
Unit 2 stated that Unit 1 performed a U-turn from Northbound Sunset Blvd N to proceed South on
Sunset Blvd N. Driver 1 stated that Unit 1's front passenger side bumper collided with the rear drivers
side door of Unit 2.
Witness 1 corroborated this information.
Injuries
No injuries reported.
Vehicle dispositions
Both vehicles were operable.
Final disposition
If Unit 1 had maintained it's lane and yielded to the right of way of oncoming vehicles, this collision
would not have happened. Witness 1 stated that he would be able to identify the driver of Unit 1 if
he saw them again.
This incident occurred in the sCity of Renton,King County,Washington State.
