Narrative
On 01-27-2025 at approximately 1200 hours, I was dispatched to a traffic collision in the parking lot of the
Brown Bear Car Wash at 800 S Grady Way in the City of Renton, County of King, State of Washington. While
enroute, Dispatch advised they were starting Renton Fire for a possible vehicle into the building. I arrived on
scene at approximately 1202 hours.
I observed two vehicles in front of the entrance to the car wash with damage to the surrounding poles and signs
for the car wash. Unit#1 was on the left side of Unit#2 and it appeared that Unit#1 had caused the damage to
the car wash and hit the entire driver side of Unit#2. Both drivers were still inside the vehicles.
I contacted the driver of Unit#1, George E Koreny (DOB: 09-23-1932)who told me he pressed the accelerator
to hard causing his vehicle to accelerate at a high rate of speed. To avoid hitting the rear of Unit#1 he turned
his vehicle to the left and hit the large metal pole and illuminated sign for the car wash.
I contacted the driver of Unit#2, Pamela L Taylor South (DOB: 09-04-1951)who told me she was stopped
waiting to enter the car wash when she heard a loud noise and felt her car shake. Pamela said it startled her so
much she thought we might be having an earthquake. She then realized Unit#1 had hit her vehicle and the car
wash.
Both parties declined treatment from Renton Fire and stated they were not injured.
