Narrative
*This incident was captured on my body worn video camera. This report is a summary of events that
occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events. Statements have been paraphrased and
summarized. *
The following occurred within the City of Renton, WA and was recorded on my body worn camera.
On 01/28/2025 at around 1832 hours, I was dispatched to a vehicle collision in the parking lot of
4411 NE Sunset Blvd (McDonalds). I arrived on scene and contacted both parties.
Unit 1 was waiting in the drive-through line of Mcdonalds. Unit 2 turned in behind unit 1. Unit 2 was
stationary, parked at a slight angel behind unit 1. Unit 1 then reverse in order to navigate the drive
through correctly/get closer to the kiosk. Unit 1 rear bumper impacted unit 2's rear passenger door,
leaving slight paint transfer/scratches.
Driver 1 said he was backing up and never saw unit 2 because the vehicle was black.
Driver 2 was able to provide me with all the correct information. Driver 1 stated that he had
insurance through StateFarm, but was unable to provide a policy number.
Vehicle 1 DOL return showed REGISTRATION SUSPENDED. DTE/04-12-2024.
CANCELLED -TOTAL LOSS. DTE/06-14-2024.
INSURANCE DESTROYED (OWNER RETAINED). DTE/04-12-2024.
I informed Driver 1 that I did not believe that he had insurance giving what DOL showed, but I was
giving him the benefit of the doubt. I told driver 1 that he needed to contact DOL to get this fixed,
and as a courtesy I would not be writing any infractions.
I photographed the damage and uploaded it to evidence.com
I provided both driver with the case number. Insurance only. RTF
