Door(s) Rear Collision 2025-00001056 Paqe 2 OF 4 Case Number 2025-00001056 Officer Narrative Narrative CASE 25-1056 This incident was captured on my body worn video camera and/or in-car dash camera. This report is a summary of events that occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events. On Sunday February 2nd, 2025, at approximately 19:03, 1 was dispatched to a 911 call regarding a hit and run collision that occurred on Ne Sunset Blvd underneath the Aberdeen Ave Ne overpass within the City of Renton, King County, Washington. ***CALL REMARKS:IN WB LANES, LIGHT POLE IN THE ROAD... CRASHING SOUNDS,SUBJS OUT OF VEHS, UNK IF ACC.... *WITN POLE FALL*BLOCKING WHOLE ROAD... NOW, LIGHTPOLE FELL ON TO RPS VEH, NO INJ, BLKING ROADWAY, EB RIGHT LANE, RP STILL INSIDE VEH Unit two and unit three were traveling east on Ne Sunset Blvd. Unit two was in the right lane and unit three was in the left lane.An unknown suspect vehicle drove onto the shoulder to pass unit two striking a light pole knocking the light pole over causing it land on unit two and unit three. Unit two sustained minor damage to the hood and unit three sustained significant damage to the roof. Both vehicles were drivable and able to drive away from the scene. None of the involved parties reported injuries and they did not appear to be injured. It should be noted it was snowing and there were several vehicles spun out and stopped on both sides of Ne Sunset Blvd. It was determined the suspect vehicle was trying to pass unit two on the shoulder which caused it to hit the light pole. The suspect vehicle was described as a dark colored sedan no make, model, or license plate information. I provided the involved parties a business card with the case number and completed an origami incident report for the damaged light pole. This concludes my involvement in this case.
