AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO AGREEMENT FOR EMERGENCY
OVERNIGHT COLD WEATHER SHELTER OPERATION SERVICES
THIS AMENDMENT, dated for reference purposes only as February 3, 2025 is by and between
the City of Renton (the "City"), a Washington municipal corporation, and Renton Ecumenical
Association of Churches ("REACH") ("Consultant"), a Washington nonprofit corporation. The City
and the Consultant are referred to collectively in this Amendment as the "Parties." Once fully
executed by the Parties, this Amendment is effective as of the last date signed by both parties.
Whereas, the City engaged the services of the Consultant under Agreement CAG-24-306, dated
October 15, 2024, to provide necessary services for the staffing and operations of the Renton
severe emergency overnight cold weather shelter (referred to herein as the "Agreement");
Whereas, the Parties wish to amend the Agreement to increase the compensation in order to
allow for the shelter to be open additional nights.
NOW THEREFORE, It is mutually agreed upon that CAG-24-306 is amended as follows:
1.Scope of Work: Section 1, Scope of Work, Exhibit A, is amended to update 2024/2025
Funding to NTE $50,000 and update Program Outputs to Estimated number of nights
shelter open = 30 and Estimated Staffing Hours= 1,111 (12 hours each night x 3 staff x 30
nights).
2.Compensation: Section 4, Compensation, is amended so that the maximum amount of
compensation payable to Consultant is increased by $30,000 from $20,000 to a revised
total amount not to exceed $50,000, plus any applicable state and local sales taxes. The
additional compensation shall be paid based upon Work actually performed according to
the rate(s) or amounts specified in Exhibit B-1, Budget of the Agreement which is attached
and incorporated herein, and replaces Exhibit B.
3.All terms of the Agreement not explicitly modified herein shall remain in full force and
effect and such terms shall apply to Work performed according to this Amendment as if
fully set forth herein.

306 as of the date last signed by the Parties below.

Operational Support Agreement
Budget Items Estimated
Costs:
Direct Personnel Costs -REACH is to pay and be reimbursed $30,000
at an hourly rate of $27 per staff person for shelter staffing
(Approx. 1,111 hours* x $27 /hr)
Cleaning supplies/food/beverages/laundry/insurance/ $13,000
security/misc.
Hotel Stays, if necessary for REACH staff, will be paid directly $2,000
by REACH to Hotel.
10% Administrative costs allowed per billing (not to exceed $5,000
amount)
Total Contract Amount (Not to Exceed) $50,000
*The 1,111 hours allows for 12 staff hours each night x 3 staff x 30 nights.
Note: Contract funding is paid on a reimbursement basis. Receipts and/or documentation is
required to be provided with invoice for reimbursement.
