On 02/08/25 at approximately 1859 hours I was dispatched to a hit and run at the Spot Flub and Pizza at 4224 East Valley Rd. A woman, Deejra Benson, had called to say she saw a Gray Ram pickup truck strike another vehicle in front of the Spot Pub and Pizza and immediately leaving the scene. Deejra followed the Ram south on East Valley Rd, east on SE Carr Rd and then north on Talbot Rd S before losing sight of it. She believed the Ram had license plate C27318S/WA on it. That license plate returns to a 2008 Gray Ram 3500 VIN 3D7MX38A88G129709. She did not see who was driving the Ram. Other Officers did an area check for the Ram but were unable to find it. I arrived on scer e and interviewed the victim who was still there. The victim, Laliana M Twiggs (07/06/76) told me she was driving south on East Valley Rd passing the Spot Pub and Pizza when a truck pulled out of the parking lot and struck the driver side door and bumper of her car. Her vehicle is a 2011 blue Honda Accord bearing license plate CDU3407/WA and VIN 1 HGCP2F44BA044712. Laliana told me she was not injured in the accident and declined aid. Laliana had a passenger in the front seat, Darrin L. Bowman (03/21/68), who was also not injured and declined aid. She said she pulled into the parking lot after she was stuck but the pickup truck drove off to the south away from the crash. The driver of the Ram did not make an attempt to stop and exchange information with Laliana. Laliana said she had AAA and would get the car towed to her house. Based on what Laliana and Deejra told me, if the driver of the Ram 3500 can be identified, there is probable cause for RCW 46.52.020 Duty in case of personal injury or death or damage to attended vehicle or other property /certify(declare) under penalty of perjury under the laws of the State of Washington that the foregoing is true and correct.
