On April 2nd, 2024, at 1706 hours dispatch requested that I respond to a hit and run collision that
occurred 11107 SE 180th St, in the city of Renton, county of King, and state of Washington.The reporting
party, later identified by his WADL as Christopher M. Britland (06/07/1989), reported that a dark colored
sedan struck his vehicle and fled northbound on 108th Ave SE,towards Fred Meyer.
Upon contact, Christopher stated that he was traveling westbound on SE 180th ST.As he made a left turn
into his driveway(11107 SE 180th St), a black sedan drove around him and sideswiped his vehicles
driver's side front fender.The collision was minor, but the other vehicle fled the location. Christopher
stated that the driver of the black sedan appeared to be a black mate. Christopher and his wife said the
suspect vehicle would most likely have damage on its passenger side fender or doors.
The victim vehicle involved was identified as a 2019 Dodge Journey bearing Washington plates CLE7358.
I conducted an area check, but I was unable to locate the suspect vehicle involved. I also checked the
nearby residences for possible surveillance footage.
I was unable to gather any additional evidentiary suspect information.
On April 16th, Officer Flick contacted Christopher. He had additional information and believed the
suspect vehicle was a 2017 Ford Fusion bearing Washington plates CHV4300.
I spoke with Christopher's wife, Leanne Marlow, and she explained they reviewed the surveillance
footage, but the video was"grainy."They believe the letters on the vehicle were the one's listed above,
but they are unsure.
Currently,this case is closed.
Christopher has my case number and contact information.
