On 06/19/2024 at approximately 1704 hours, I was working as a Police Officer for the city of Renton.
While I was working, I was dispatched to a collision at Nile Ave NE and NE 7th Ct, in the City of
Renton, the County of King, State of Washington. There were no injuries reported and the collision
was not blocking.
This report is a summary of events that occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events. Statements
have been paraphrased and summarized. My involvement in this incident was captured on my
department issued Axon body camera. For exact statements made during my investigation please see
my Axon camera footage.
According to the notes in the call, there was a two-vehicle collision. There were no injuries, it was not
blocking, and there was damage over $1000. The involved vehicles had pulled over. The first vehicle
was described as a tan Mercedes Metris minivan (WA LIC#B65160D) (unit 1). The second vehicle
was described as a dark blue Toyota Sienna minivan (WA LIC#B:R:K6270) (unit 2).
I arrived on scene around 1805 hours. I saw that unit 1 had damage to the front of the vehicle and unit
2 had damage to the rear of the vehicle, including a broken rear window. The driver of unit 1 was
identified as Mikhail A Isak(DOB 08/06/1971) and the driver of unit 2 was identified as Eveline I
Chao-Rivera(DOB 11/04/1981). The driver of unit 2 told me that her son was also in her vehicle at
the time of the collision. Her son was identified as Damien Y Rivera (DOB 06/26/201.3). Both parties
told me that there were no injuries.
I asked each party to tell me what happened. The driver of unit 2 told me that she was stopped on Nile
Ave NE waiting to turn left onto NE 7th Ct. As she was waiting, unit 1 collided with the back of her
vehicle. The driver of unit I told me that he was traveling south on Nile Ave NE and the sun hit him
in the eyes and he did not see unit 2 stopped in the road. He applied his brakes but did not apply them
in time, and collided with unit 2.
Photos were taken of the scene and uploaded to evidence.com.
This incident occurred in the sCity of Renton,King County,Washington State.

Based on my investigation, I determined that unit I collided into the back of unit 2, causing damage.
Both parties were provided with my business card and the case number.
There is no further information available at this time.
