Note that this may need to be updated by the selected contractor once one has been chosen. Fueling of Construction Vehicles and Storage of Hazardous Materials The only hazardous materials anticipated to be present on the site will be fuel for heavy construction equipment (excavators, back hoes, pavers, etc.) and handheld construction equipment such as concrete saws. Any fuel onsite will be contained in portable containers that meet Washington Department of Ecology standards and will be stored in the bed of the contractor’s truck or a secured location away from construction activity. Any spills will be promptly r eported to local authorities and DOE, as requir ed. Construction Activity Standards – Aquifer Protection Area (APA) Zones 1 and 2 The site is not located within an Aquifer Protection Area (APA).
