Renton Case#25-2042
On 03/04/2024 at 2206 hours I was dispatched to the 2700 block of SE 16th ST in the City of Renton, King
County,Washington. I was responding to a call of an unknown injury accident. This incident was captured on
my body worn video camera.This report is a summation of events that occurred and is not an exact
sequence of events.
At approximately 2210 hours, I arrived on scene located the two involved vehicles. Both Unit 1 and Unit 2
vehicles were parked in front of 2720 SE 16th ST.
I identified Unit 1 as a red 2011 Ford F-150(WA LIC#C27727W) being driven by the owner of the vehicle,
identified only by his government issued Romanian ID as Ion Veriga (DOB 07/06/2003).
1 asked Unit 1 driver what happened. He stated while driving on SE 16th St, in front of the above referenced
address, he attempted a U-turn. In doing so, Unit 1 driver said that he struck Unit 2,which was legally parked
on the side of the road. Unit 1 driver said that because of the height of his truck, he was unable to see over the
hood and did not see Unit 2.
1 observed several small scratches on the left front bumper of Unit 1
Unit 1 driver stated he did not possess any form of driver's license (with the exception of his Romanian ID) and
advised he did not have car insurance.
I identified Unit 2 as a black flat bed U-Haul trailer(KS LIC#UF327). Unit 2 was legally parked in front of the
above referenced address. Unit 2 was legally rented by Raed H Al Ashor(DOB 10/26/1988) under U-Haul
contract#25898448).
1 did not observe any noticeable damage to Unit 2.
1 took photographs of both Unit 1 and Unit 2 and later uploaded them to Axon Evidence.
I provided each involved unit with a business card, case number and answered their remaining questions.
