The Driver of Unit 2 is Mose, Juliet V (DOB 08-08-2000). Juliet was the driver of a silver Dodge Charger with license plate WA/BYF5693. Also involved was the front passenger Mose, Francis V (DOB 05-21-2002). The Driver of Unit 1 is Reddy, Elvira C (DOB 01-21-1977). Reddy is the registered owner of a red 2016 Toyota Sienna with license plate WA/CKG5725. I arrived on the scene and observed the Sienna blocking both lanes, going southbound on Oaksdale Ave SW. The front of the Sienna was totaled. I then observed the Charger off the road in a bush. Both vehicle airbags were deployed, and fire was advised. I asked all involved parties if there were any injuries, and all parties declined. I spoke with Juliet, who stated that she was driving lane two going southbound on Oakesdale Ave S approaching SW 27th St. Juliet stated that she had a green light and continued past SW 27th St when she was stuck by the Sienna. Juliet did not have insurance. I then spoke with Francis, who stated he was on the front passenger side during the incident. I spoke with Reddy, who stated she was on Oakesdale Ave SW making a left turn into SW 27th St going westbound. Reddy stated that she had a green and read the sign that said, "Left turn yield on a green light," and said she made the left turn, and Unit 2 struck her vehicle. She did not see the vehicle and believed the vehicle came out of nowhere. Reddy did not have insurance. Renton FD arrived on the scene, and Reddy claimed that she had injured her right hand. Renton FD medially cleared Reddy and other involved parties for this incident. Both vehicles had minor damage, which made them inoperable. Gene Meyers Towing was on the scene and towed both vehicles. Reddy will be issued a ticket for (RCW 46.61.185) Vehicle turning left: (1) The driver of a vehicle intending to turn to the left within an intersection or into an alley, private road, or driveway shall yield the right-of-way to any vehicle approaching from the opposite direction which is within the intersection or so close thereto as to constitute an immediate hazard. Reddy will also be getting a ticket for operating a motor vehicle without liability insurance (RCW 46.30.020). Reddy understood that she would receive her ticket by mail. Juliet will be issued a ticket for operating a motor vehicle without liability insurance (RCW 46.30.020). Juliet understood that she would receive her ticket by mail. While explaining Reddy's tickets, she said she should have been patient. I believe the approximate cause of this collision was Reddy's not yielding to a left turn, which caused Juliet to collide with Reddy. Reddy had a green circle light and a sign that stated to yield on a green light. My Axon camera was on for this call.
