Neighborhood Meeting Comments
Meeting Date: 12.10.2024
Project: 21-10 Willowcrest II
• AM, City of Renton – Expecting Bollards for emergency access only to eliminate cut through traffic
• Homestead is interested in gate at Edmonds and glennwood side. Better for security of residents
• Residents are concerned with the parking demand added by 19 new units. Is there a way to designate the new
north parking lot for the new units only? Unit mix (2 and 3 bedrooms as opposed to 3 and 4 bedrooms) may
help alleviate parking, as well as carports.
• Is the trash enclosure big enough? Public is currently using trash enclosure on Phase I and is frequently
overflowing. More frequent pickup could be a solution, but concerns of cost from the HOA. Controlled entry
onto sight could also improve conditions.
• Concerns with Fire dept. required electrical kill switch on outside of the buildings for security reasons. Others
have been shutting off power to townhome units.
• New community garden in southwest corner, request for collaboration when it’s closer to moving the existing
temporary garden.
• Request for native plants with sun/shade conditions on site in mind
• Can any work happen regarding the existing burned shed on the Phase II side of the lot sooner than the
projected construction start?
• Residents interested in swift construction start to improve security/safety on vacant areas of lot.
