General Information
Q: What is Art in Motion?
A: Art in Motion is Renton’s inaugural Artist Studio Tour, offering an exclusive behind-
the-scenes look at the creative spaces where local artists bring their visions to life!
Visitors will have the unique opportunity to explore studios, meet the talented artists,
and discover one-of-a-kind, handmade artwork. Plus, attendees can find special items
available only at the artists’ studios – a perfect chance to take home something truly
unique!
Q: When and where does the event take place?
A: The studio tour takes place on Saturday, August 16, 2025 across multiple locations in
Renton. A full map of participating studios will be available closer to the event.
Q: Is this a free event?
A: Yes! Art in Motion is free and open to the public.
Q: How do I participate as a visitor?
A: Simply grab a map, plan your route, and visit as many studios as you’d like! Maps will
be available online and at select locations leading up to the event.
For Artists
Q: How can I apply to be a participating artist?
A: Artists can apply by filling out the application form at
forms.gle/Has93KgL4rSQg63v6. Studio spaces must be located in Renton, or artists
can apply for a shared exhibition space if they don’t have a public studio.
Q: What types of artists are eligible?
A: All visual artists, including painters, sculptors, printmakers, ceramicists, fiber artists,
photographers, and more!
Q: Do I need to be present during the event?
A: Yes, artists are expected to be present in their studios to engage with visitors,
discuss their work, and (if applicable) facilitate sales.
Q: Can I sell my artwork?
A: Absolutely! Artists are encouraged to showcase and sell their work directly to
visitors.

community centers in Renton before the event.

A: This is a self-guided tour, so visitors will need to provide their own transportation.
