Case Number 25-2377
On 03/17/2025 at approximately 0835 hours, I was dispatched to SW Grady Way and Oakesdale Ave SW
within the City of Renton, King County, Washington to blocking disabled. Dispatch relayed over the radio that
a white Factor box truck was stopped in the road with its hazard lights on.
On arrival I noticed that there were two Factor box trucks in the road with their hazard lights on.The first
truck that was stopped at the intersection was the vehicle that broke down.The driver of that truck already
called a tow, and it was in route. As I was returning to my fully marked patrol vehicle the driver in the second
Factor truck that was parked behind the disabled truck told me that as he was trying to help his coworker and
a vehicle side swiped him and drove away without attempting to exchange information.
Unit 2 was identified as a white 2023 Ram Promaster WA/LIC D14821D VIN#3C6LRVBG6PE517743, and the
driver of unit 2 was identified by his WADOL as Cary Michael Dabbs DOB (11/01/1979). Cary said that he was
waiting behind the disabled Factor vehicle waiting for the tow to arrive when a black sedan side swiped him
and continued driving eastbound on SW Grady Way. Cary said it happened so fast and that he was unable to
get a look at the driver or the make or model of the sedan that hit his vehicle. Cary provided me with all
necessary documents and was provided my business card with the case number. Cary's vehicle sustained
minor damage to the driver's side mirror. No suspect information is available other than a black sedan.
This concludes my involvement with this case.
