A public hearing will be held by the Renton Hearing Examiner in the Council Chambers on the
seventh floor of the Renton City Hall, 1055 South Grady Way, Renton, Washington, on November
12, 2017 at 11:00 am to consider the following petitions:
WSDOT Pavement Rehabilitation Noise Variance for SB I-405, SR 900 to Coal Creek Pkwy SE
LUA17-000492, V-H
Location: MP 4.00 (at the vicinity of NE 3rd Street) to MP 7.99 (at the northern limits of the
city of Renton) Description: WSDOT is requesting a noise variance to allow for 30
non-consecutive nights of work between March 1, 2018 and December 31, 2018 for
roadway pavement rehabilitation and repairs. Work will occur along I-405 in the
southbound direction within state right-of-way. The WSDOT project is located along
Interstate 405 from Mile Post 4.00 to Mile Post 10.18 in Renton, King County, Newcastle and
Bellevue. However, the noise variance is for the project work located within the city limits of
Renton from MP 4.00 (at the vicinity of NE 3rd Street) to MP 7.99 (at the northern limits of
the city of Renton). Also included is the repaving of the ramps at N 30th Street and NE Park
Drive. This project will grind and overlay the southbound outside lane of I- 405 with 0.15’ of
HMA and replace traffic loops.
