On March 26, 2025, at approximately 1313 hours, I was dispatched to a two-vehicle collision at Kings
Transmission, 10909 SE Petrovitsky Rd,within the City Limits of Renton, County of King, State of Washington.
Upon arrival, I contacted the involved parties and confirmed no injuries had occurred requiring immediate
medical response at the time of report.There, I collected the involved parties driving documents and their
independent recollection of events leading up to the collision.
The driver of Unit 1, identified as a Renton city employee named Annamarie Siltman, reported she was the
sole occupant of her vehicle and was exiting the parking lot of Crave. Crave is located at 10825 SE Petrovitsky
Rd.Annamarie said she made a right turn from Crave and planned to travel eastbound on SE Petrovitsky Rd.
As she turned, a metal stand holder fell from the bed of her truck and went underneath Unit 2 who was
traveling directly behind her.The metal stand damaged the underside of unit 2,which caused it to leak fluids
on the ground.
The driver of Unit 2, identified as Justin D. Canada, said he was traveling eastbound on SE Petrovitsky Rd and
had just passed the intersection of 108th Ave SE.Justin stated he saw Unit 1 make a right turn from Crave and
continue east on SE Petrovitsky Rd in front of him.As they approached 110th Ave SE, Unit 1 dropped a metal
stand from the truck bed. He was unable to avoid the object, and it subsequently struck the underside of his
vehicle causing unknown damage.
The driver of Unit 1 had an unsecure load. RCW 46.61.655 dropping load, other materials which is defined as
no vehicle shall be driven or moved on any public highway unless such vehicle is so constructed or loaded as to
prevent any of its load from dropping, sifting, leaking, or otherwise escaping therefrom, except that sand may
be dropped for the purpose of securing traction.
Based on the above statements, I determined that the Driver of Unit 1 (Annamarie) is the proximate cause for
the collision due to having an unsecure load.
I gave Annamarie a verbal warning and provided an exchange of information was provided to all involved
parties.
Annamarie will fillout a property incident form through the city portal.
This incident occurred in the sCity of Renton,King County,Washington State.
