ENVIRONMENTAL DOCUMENTATION AND PERMIT COORDINATION
Maplewood Sidewalk Project
Widener & Associates Tasks
Widener and Associates, under a subconsultant agreement with City of Renton will assist the
City in the preparation of environmental documentation and permitting of the project by
providing the following services:
1.1 Design Assistance and Early Agency Coordination
Early input into the formation of the project will be provided to ensure the project includes
provisions to minimize impacts to the surrounding environment. This coordination within the
various design elements of the project will identify and incorporate minimization measures early
in the alternative development phase of the project.
It is assumed that this effort will be accomplished with the graphics and design drawings
required to complete the TS&L graphics and to conduct the open houses and that no other special
presentation materials are required.
Deliverables:
The Consultant's permitting specialist will prepare meeting minutes and memoranda
documenting the coordination activities with state and federal agencies, as required.
1.2 SEPA CHECKLIST
The SEPA Checklist is a critical document used in the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA)
process to assess the potential environmental impacts of a proposed project or action. Widener &
conditions, proposed activities and proposed impacts to the surrounding environment. Any
associated figures or graphics will also be created by Widener to demonstrate project vicinity and
impacts as needed. The client will provide the necessary design, drawings and construction
activities details to Widener & Associates as required to complete the SEPA.

Final SEPA Checklist incorporating City comments
1.3 Critical Areas Report
include the proposed project location, regulatory context, existing critical areas and their
mitigation measures for said project impacts. If the project will have impacts to critical area

buffers the report will include mitigation measures and detail maintenance and monitoring
requirements.
NOTE: If the project has direct stream channel or wetland impacts below the OHWM will
require a JARPA and/or HPA application. At this time no direct wetland or stream impacts are
assumed.
